Under the aegis of the prestigious Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Institution of Eminence status granted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India), we at the Department of Spine Anaesthesia, Manipal Hospital, Old Airport Road, Bengaluru, India, take pride in conducting the this enriching one-year “Spine Anaesthesia” Fellowship programme encompassing a comprehensive, structured curriculum with emphasis on developing in-depth knowledge in all facets of spine-related ailments and relevant anaesthesia implications, thereby providing specialty expertise for anaesthesiologists across the globe, which will render them experts in this niche field. The programme aims to foster expertise in rendering anaesthesia services to patients coming for a wide range of complex spine surgeries, including deformity corrections, minimal invasive spine surgeries (MISS), and robotically assisted spine surgeries.
In addition, this anaesthesia fellowship is designed to inculcate all the world-set standards of teaching and professionalism at work heralded by the Department of Spine Anaesthesia and ably supported by the teaching faculty of related diverse departments such as the Department of Spine Surgery, the Department of Neurology, the Department of Radiodiagnosis, and the Department of Biostatistics, with the vision of training the Fellow to independently manage patients coming for various complex spine surgeries upon completion of their fellowship programme. Furthermore, we endeavour to set the precedent of having similar fellowship programmes across multiple specialty hospitals in due course.

Fellowship Fees - Rs 75,000/-
Consolidated Stipend - Rs 50,000/- per month
